Guests of Heart Art were able to chat with Meera Agarwal while she created new art, live in our Gallery. We also enjoyed a spirited discussion with noted Interior Designer Emily Meszkat on blending art with design plans. Emily left us with many practical ideas. And, of course, guests admired Meera’s art during the evening Reception.
Heart Art organized an auction of Meera’s latest artwork. Heart Art directed 100% of the winning bid amount as a donation to Larchmont Friends of the Family.

Biography: Meera Agarwal
is an award-winning artist and local art instructor working with oil, acrylic and mixed media to create stunning pieces flowing with color and form.
Her work has been selected by juries to present at a wide number of juried shows across the tri-state area. She is certified as an Art-O-Mat artist. More recently, Meera contributed to the public art space. You probably saw her Butterfly as part of the Rye Arts Center’s metal sculpture installation.
Artist Statement Meera writes …
My paintings are inspired by places, and people and their unique stories. I’m equally inspired by nature and everyday marvels of colors, texture and the light effects that we experience.
With my art, I aim to evoke an emotion, a memory, strike any chord or simply intrigue the viewer.
I paint as a response to a spontaneous reaction, a feeling or sheer beauty of a subject, and that reflects in my choice of diverse subjects, style, techniques and composition
